Mortadella

Mortadella is made of finely ground, heat-cured pork. It is flavoured with spices, including whole or ground black pepper and dotted with cubes of fat. Slice thinly and drape in an Italian-style sandwich, cut into cubes and serve with a toothpick as part of an antipasto platter, or cut into thick slabs and grilled like a steak.
